  I gaze in amazement
  and all else loses focus,
  if only for a moment
  and I forget myself.

  my colorless existence.
  I hide my face
  in awe
  of her pale light.

  as cascading auburn.

  The unknown leaves space
  for my imagination.
  Words left unspoken,
  resolutions never met.
  The last night we embraced
  I watched you turn and walk away.
  Then I felt the distance,
  severance, a new divide.
  The wind brushes my face
  and all around me sways.
  Yet, I feel sweet stillness
  in the breeze.
  I face ahead
  as leaves fall from the trees.
  My eyes well with tears
  and I fall to my knees.
